Speaking of Rights!!

 ... at the NCC Courthouse in Delaware today there was an apparent lack of responsibility displayed by certain court officials, more specific the Public Defender's("PD") Office. Amazed yet not surprised was the reaction.          
There was a claim by the defendant that a Double Jeopardy was afoot; however, the appointed PD not only brushed it off as if it were nonsense, but became visibly irate when the defendant insisted the PD protect such right. THE 5TH AMENDMENT PROTECTS U.S. CITIZENS FROM BEING TWICE PUT IN JEOPARDY FOR THE SAME OFFENSE. Ultimately, the defendant asserted such right and, after explanation, the Court agreed that Defendant's Double Jeopardy rights would have been violated had the challenge not been made ... no thanks to the PD of course ... .. ...

Speaking of Safe: Inculcation; Doctrination

... As was highlighted in today's news, there are "DUI" checkpoints throughout the state of Delaware focused on holiday drivers. Aimed at swerving traffic? This was the line of reasoning; however, we can hardly imagine this when everyone is in line waiting for police, especially in Newport, to stick their noses in the window "searching" for evidence of drunk-driving. Of course ID may be requested and then one realizes that this is, in fact, a pretextual traffic stop.

...AAAHHH... We finally caught up with our super-bizzy counter-part, OTBE.  Discussions for the next round of holiday events will most definitely find their place @the dinner table.  As always, have a safe and blessed holiday. AND TRAVEL SAFELY!!!
